Who controls your data
We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website.
Legal bases we rely on
Depending on what we collect and why, our legal basis under UK GDPR may be:
- We need the information to perform a contract with you (or steps toward one)
- You have given consent
- Processing is in our legitimate interests (for example keeping the site secure), where those interests do not override your rights
- We need to comply with the law
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, including legal, dispute, and policy-enforcement needs.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or EEA, you may have rights to access, update, or delete personal information we hold, to rectify it, to object, to restrict processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where consent is the basis.
To use these rights, contact us using the details above.
Log files
Like most websites, our hosting environment records standard log data when you visit. That can include IP address, browser type, internet service provider, date and time, referring or exit pages, and click counts. We use this to understand traffic patterns, keep the site running, and spot abuse. It is not combined with information that identifies you personally unless we need it for security.
Cookies and tracking technologies
Berlew Limited uses cookies and similar technologies on berlew.co.uk. This section explains what we use, why, and how you can control optional cookies.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies (such as local storage for consent records and privacy-preserving analytics beacons).
How we ask for consent
On your first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept all, reject optional cookies, or manage categories individually. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the site footer.
We use Google Consent Mode v2: before you make a choice, Google analytics and advertising storage signals default to denied for visitors in the UK and EEA. Optional services only run after you opt in.
The cc_cookie cookie stores your choice for about six months so the banner does not appear on every visit. This cookie is strictly necessary and does not require separate consent.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect form security or site functionality. See guidance for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge.
International transfers
Some providers listed above may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where required, transfers rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses under UK GDPR / GDPR.
Conversion measurement and advertising data
When you submit an enquiry form or sign up to the newsletter, we pass details you have just entered to Google's tags so we can measure which adverts and pages lead to enquiries. Google calls this enhanced conversions.
What is shared
| Form | Details passed |
|---|---|
| Enquiry / contact form | Email address, phone number, first name, last name |
| Newsletter signup | Email address |
How it is protected. Your details are placed on the page for Google's tag, which converts them into an irreversible cryptographic hash (SHA-256) before anything is transmitted. Google receives the hashed values, not readable contact details, and uses them only to match your enquiry to an earlier advert click. We do not send your enquiry details to any other advertising network.
Your control. These tags only transmit when you have accepted marketing cookies. Under Google Consent Mode v2 the ad_user_data and ad_personalization signals default to denied, so if you reject optional cookies. or simply ignore the banner. no contact details are sent to Google. You can withdraw consent at any time via Cookie settings in the site footer.
Temporary storage on your device. So that a single enquiry is not counted twice, your browser briefly stores the enquiry reference, email address and phone number in sessionStorage while you move from the form to the thank-you page. It is deleted as soon as the conversion is recorded, and in all cases when you close the tab. It is never sent anywhere other than as described above.
Legal basis. Consent, for the advertising measurement described here. Google Ireland Ltd. acts as our provider; see the Google Privacy Policy.
Third-party services
We use MailerLite to manage newsletter subscribers when you sign up via the site footer (or a newsletter block). Your email address is sent to MailerLite so we can send the studio newsletter and related offers (for example a first-project discount). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email, or contact us to request deletion. Privacy notice: MailerLite.
We use Resend to deliver contact-form enquiries to the studio and optional confirmation emails to you.
