The usual path is a site we built, now on fast UK hosting, with security patches and content updates included on every plan.
Good fit: founders and marketing managers who should not log into WordPress for routine tweaks. SMEs that want security, hosting and content help without in-house staff.
Also possible: sites built elsewhere, hosted on your server, scoped after a technical review and quoted on external hosting maintenance.

What management covers
What is website management?
Website management is an ongoing care plan that keeps a live site secure, hosted, updated and usable after launch. The default is Berlew maintenance: a site we built, hosted on fast UK hosting, with maintenance, content updates, security monitoring and a priority response window included. External hosting maintenance covers the same hands-on care on your existing server, scoped after a technical review and quoted separately. It is not a redesign, not SEO strategy, and not the same as our unlimited design subscription, which covers design requests rather than technical care. If the site needs a rebuild first, start with website design services or a website audit.

Most clients use Berlew maintenance after we have built the site: fast UK hosting plus hands-on care. Website management rates depend on change volume and platform; the £30/month floor is Berlew maintenance on our hosting. External hosting maintenance is the same scope on your server, quoted after a technical review.

Continuity is easiest when we already know the theme, plugins and content structure, because we built them. These are live UK sites from the studio. Whether or not a site is on a plan, knowing the build makes every update faster and safer.
How care runs
From review to monthly rhythm
A managed website service is an ongoing engagement, not a three-week project. Open a step for how onboarding, routine care and incidents actually work.
For sites we built, we already know how the site is put together. For external hosting, we assess your server, CMS, plugins and current health before quoting, and flag anything that should be fixed before a retainer starts.
Hosting location, update schedule, monitoring and response expectations scoped to your platform. You get a clear monthly fee and a written list of what is in and out of scope before anything is billed.
Security patches on the agreed schedule, content updates handled when you need them, and performance watched on both tiers. You should not need to chase us for the unglamorous work.
If the site breaks, gets compromised or goes offline, we diagnose, patch and restore service within the priority response window scoped in your plan. Prevention through monitoring and updates is the goal; recovery is part of both Berlew maintenance and external hosting maintenance.

How much does website management cost?
Berlew maintenance starts from £30 per month on fast UK hosting, with maintenance, content updates, security monitoring and a priority response window included. External hosting maintenance is quoted after a technical review of your server and CMS: same care scope, minus included hosting.
What platforms do you manage?
We provide WordPress and CMS care from a Nottingham studio for UK businesses. WordPress website management services are the most common request; we also take on static sites, headless CMS builds and ecommerce stores after a technical review. If the setup is unfamiliar or unsafe to take on, we say so before quoting.
Do you only manage sites you built?
The usual path is we built the site and now maintain it on Berlew maintenance with fast UK hosting included. We can take on sites built elsewhere on external hosting maintenance after a technical review, but that is quoted separately and is not the default setup.
Is this the same as hosting?
Hosting is part of Berlew maintenance. After we build your site, the default is care on fast UK hosting with maintenance, content updates, security monitoring and a priority response window from £30/mo. External hosting maintenance is the same hands-on care on your existing server, quoted after a technical review.
Can you make content changes for us?
Yes, on every plan. Text, images and minor layout tweaks are included so you do not need to log into the CMS. Larger redesigns or new sections are quoted as project work.
What if my site gets hacked or goes offline?
On both Berlew maintenance and external hosting maintenance, we respond within the priority window scoped in your plan: diagnose the issue, patch vulnerabilities, remove malware where needed, and restore service. Prevention through monitoring and updates is the goal. After-hours cover is only included when we agree it in writing.
How is this different from the design subscription?
Management covers technical care, hosting on Berlew maintenance, updates, monitoring, and content edits. The unlimited design subscription covers design requests such as social graphics, brochures and new page layouts. They solve different problems and can run together.
How quickly do you respond?
We respond to enquiries within 24 hours. Once a plan is live, routine changes run on the agreed schedule; both tiers include a priority response window for incidents when that is scoped in.
