Brief & structure
We map the shoots you want to book, the tools you already use, and the pages that will rank, then shape the sitemap around them.
Photography · Berlew
A fast, bespoke site built around your photography, designed to rank for local booking searches and to sit alongside the client galleries and print tools you already use. Design and build are led by our award-winning creative director.
Do I still need a website?
Yes. A client-gallery platform like Pixieset or Pic-Time is built to deliver and sell photos to people who have already booked you, it is not a marketing site. And a social profile rents you an audience you do not own. A bespoke website is the one place you control: it ranks for "[type] photographer [town]" searches, shows your best work fast on mobile, and sends enquiries to you rather than to a platform. We build that site and connect it to the galleries and print store you already use.

What a photographer's site needs
Not a gallery dump, but a fast, findable site that turns people looking at your work into people booking it.
Layouts built around your images, not a theme every other photographer is also running. Your work leads; the interface gets out of the way.
Fast builds tested from phone to desktop before launch, because a slow gallery loses the booking before your work loads.
A dedicated, indexable page per genre, weddings, portraits, events, with the local search language a single gallery can't rank for.
We connect your Pixieset, Pic-Time or print store rather than replacing them, one site, your existing workflow.
Typical delivery
Full admin access, files and training at handover on WordPress.
We designed Amber Kelly Photography's identity and website together, the same team can shape your brand and build the site it lives on.
Your galleries, still yours
Most working photographers run two things: a public website that wins the booking, and a gallery platform that delivers proofs to clients who have already booked. Those are different jobs, and the gallery tools do theirs well.
We don't ask you to abandon them. Berlew's photographer website design builds the marketing site that ranks and converts. Then we connect it to the galleries, booking calendar and print store you already use. If you'd rather sell prints through your own site, our e-commerce web design covers that too.
A clear three-step process. Most sites go live within one to three weeks of signing off the brief.

Studio-built or a template platform?
Template platforms get a portfolio live fast and cheap. Here is what changes when a studio delivers web design for photographers properly, instead of a theme you share with every other shooter.
What clients say
The questions we hear most before a photography website starts.
We're a general design studio, not a photography-only shop, but we've designed and built for photographers, including Amber Kelly Photography's brand and website. You get a studio that understands image-led design and works across branding, web and print, not a single-template niche tool. We design and build the site; we don't shoot the photography.
That's the main risk for photography sites, so we optimise every image, use modern formats, right-sized files and lazy loading, then test from phone to desktop before launch. Heavy, unoptimised galleries are exactly what slow template sites down.
Yes. We build your public marketing site and link it to the tools you already use. Pixieset, Pic-Time, your booking calendar and print store, rather than forcing you onto a new platform.
From £750 for a one-page site, then £500 for each additional page, so a portfolio with separate genre pages is quoted on page count. You get a fixed quote before any work starts.
Most sites are live within one to three weeks from brief sign-off. We confirm the timeline with your quote.
Yes. We build on WordPress and hand over full admin access, files and training at launch.
No. We're a Nottingham studio working with photographers across the UK. briefs, design reviews and handover all run remotely.
